David Andino has been passionate about filmmaking and the art of cinematography ever since he hosted his first "Andino Family Thanksgiving" at age 11 with his grandma's VHS camcorder. Since then, David has been performing in theatres around the United States pursuing his dream of combining art and entertainment. Months before graduation, David stumbled across the Filmaka website, and was inspired and motivated to write and submit his works to this community. David received his BFA in Music Theatre performance from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI in May 2008. After almost a year of milling about all the various pitches and scripts in his head and on his computer, David finally began submitting to Filmaka. His third submission, "Man's New Best Friend", was among the Top 20 finalists chosen for the DirecTV competition. David now lives in Las Vegas working on various indie films both in front and behind the camera, and is a singing gondolier at the Venetian Hotel & Casino. David continues to dedicate all of his work to his mother who always believed in his artistic abilities and pushed him to strive for greatness.
