BIOGRAPHY:

Ryan Maples Director/Producer/Writer/Editor A graduate of the USC School of Cinema-Television, Ryan Maples’ production credits include Dole Foods, Disney, Brother International, AOL, Match.com and Current TV. Maples began his career in sitcom television as a writer’s assistant and script manager for the hit Nickelodeon comedies, “Drake & Josh” and “Zoey 101.” He also worked directly for several successful writers and directors including Annabelle Gurwitch (Fired) and John Herzfeld (2 Days in the Valley, 15 Minutes) and served as an editor for indie production company Elevate Films (The Secret). Recently, he has joined Xlantic, a media group based out of Los Angeles and London, as a Producer. Over his eight-year career, Maples has become extremely skilled in all aspects of production. He has directed music videos for indie music acts So Many Wizards, Seasons, Casey Comstock & Love in the Circus, edited a 12-part web documentary on Apl.De.Ap from the multi-platinum selling group The Black Eyed Peas and produced several man-on-street style mini-documentary series for Current TV. He has also written and directed comedy shorts for the humor website Channel101.com and a live sketch show at the Improv Olympic in Los Angeles. In 2008, Maples founded his own production company Thrillhouse Productions. Most recently, Maples was the recipient of the 2010 Savvy Award of Excellence, one of three awards given to best government training videos nationwide, for his County of Orange video. Based in Los Angeles, Maples currently splits his time between freelance directing and producing ventures and pursuing his own personal projects including new comedic shorts, a feature film script and a music documentary chronicling the indie rock music scene of Los Angeles.
