Comic Performance,,liked it..keep it up...shortlisting it,,,
concept was great! and a lot of funny scenes! one suggestion though is maybe make the captions a little clearer on the screen but besides that funny and very bollywood-esque!
thanks a lot for the feedback. I used windows movie maker, so couldnt work more on the captions. But from my next film, i'll sure'y try my best to correct it.
Always use Dark Yellow for Subtitles and lower them on the screen. Put a slight black shadow behind them. Keep the short! People can't read that fast, if they are reading they aren't watching the film! Blue is a colour that is affected by stigmatism, not a good choice for screen text! Audio! AUDIO!!! Get an external mic! Some of the shots are good, some are not well framed two shots, get a bit closer to your subjects, especially in this format. Potential there, just let it out!
haha some scenes were funny :)
some shots are nice.. its a good first film effort. . keep it up!
Very good concept, but I found it difficult to keep up with the dialogue. Good first effort, I like your creativity.
Thanks Adam, i never knew so much about colour of the titles.I will definitely improvise on the areas you have mentioned, from my next film.
Thanks, since it was my first film, i wanted to do it in my mother toungue :-) but from my next film its english. And i'll be keeping the dialogues short enough.
TOO GOOD DEEPAK, NICE FIRST EFFORT, HEY WATCH MINE ALSO.
Good try for a first film. I liked the concept and it the humor was good. It was hard to follow at times because of the subtitles but someone already addressed that issue. In the sequences with action, even tightening up the edit by 1/4 or 1/2 of a second will make the action flow better. I'm not sure if you can trim your edit by frames because I have never used Windows Movie Maker but you will notice a difference even cutting a few frames. Best of luck and keep trying. The next film is always better than the last. : ) -Brandon Minton
Thanks Ashish! I liked ur commercial break short! good job!
Thanks Brandon Minton! I'll try get some better editing software for my next short. I tried editing the same short again, and now the short is looking better to me as well. I learnt a lot from your feedback! thanks again. Deepak
This is funny. You should watch Swimming with Sharks starring Kevin Spacey. I think you'd appreciate it.
Good first shot Deepak. I know everyone's commented about the subtitles, but here's how I do mine. Like Adam Todd said, yellow is the colour you want. Well, basically all his subtitle comments were good. My comment is how to break them up. Just have one line of dialogue show up at a time when that character is speaking. Then put the next line in when your character speaks it. Make the font bigger too. I really like the image of the guy with the giant cardboard crown. Good luck!
Thank you! Thats very useful input! will definitely work on it and correct it. Thanks a lot.
