great images and concept- check out my film "cassandra" benigno piņera
I really liked the artistic imagery here and your narration!
nice effects and style that bring the message across really well!
Thanks Joseph! I wasn't sure if people would completely understand what I was trying to say but hopefully it get through :)...both your movies were great by the way!
thank you! i will for sure!
thanks justin! i'm on to checking yours :D
Good work Daanish. The visual FX is great. And the concept works too.You have my vote! You can check out my previous films as I didn't have an entry for this contest.
I loved the effects... how did you do it? Nice shots and story also... check out my short afterwards(page 3) the prophecy of the girl... hope you enjoy.
hey Daniel thanks for the compliment! Well for the main effect I shot my character in front of a green screen so I could get his outline. I then used the outline to create effects that would act as his body. It was done in adobe after effects! Besides the outline the rest was pretty much graphics! I checked out your movie as well and loved the use of the webcam man! Honestly that's really thinking out of the box!
Cool film... great effects, and great concept Brant (CAT)
These are some very beautiful images. And I have to congratulate you on effective use of dialogue -- it's very lyrical, and works well. Heavy dialogue usually drags a film down, in my opinion, but it worked well here. I really enjoyed seeing the lines dissolve into their photo matches. Thanks for the comment on my film as well.
Great story. I like the way that you've played on Albert Einstein's reputation and disposition to make a more fairytale story. It has a heartfelt naivity that is fun and introspective. Oh yeah... the effects are great too.
thanks Sean! That is the kind of reaction I was hoping to get!
I'm glad you think so Brooke! Usually when I try a movie with a lot of dialogue I get nervous because they tend to be hard to do so it means a lot that you would say that!
I like the special effects and they didn't detract from the film. The line art changing into the actual photo was good as well.
Truely out of the box! SFX were awesome. Very nicely presented the message. Too good Danish!
One of my favorite quotes of all time, I am glad to see what you did with this. I especially liked the color entering the world. Nicely done. Shortlisted! B.D. (Oedipus Rex in 3 Min)
Nice effects, loved the narration. Interesting quote at the end.
Too bad about the hiss - it was the only thing wrong with this film. Great idea, looked wonderful and unique. good luck. Thanks for the positive feedback on mine. natebower (Belief)
Great shots and amazing sfx. Great concept. - Ricardo Salcedo (El Arte de Lavar Platos)
I loved this film. Your stylization is quite original.
thanks Brant! I checked yours out as well and it was amazing!
Thanks for the feedback Susan!
me out of the box?? look who's talking Deepak :P hehe yours was super unique (and that's a great thing) :D
One of my faves as well! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the feedback Bryan.
Thanks Sean. That means a lot man!
Thank you Nate. I was a little worried the narration would be hard to hear because of the hiss but it seems to have worked out! Good luck with yours as well!
Thanks Ricardo! Glad you liked it!
Good to know you liked it. Yours was well done as well Jardiel!
wow - just saw your other film and loved it, but this one really blew me away. great work and awesome commentary (doesn't hit you over the head, but is rooted in the story and comes out at the right time). the figure is a fantastic gimic. and i love how the story takes overwhelmingly broad themes and squashes them into this tiny and unique short!
