Excellent! I thought it was very well done! Perhaps maybe some kind of transition for the leap in years? Good luck!!
Nice pad.
Good use of 3 minutes too. nice pace. Great lighting. Music complemented. Time runs fast in your family though.
Hands down the best cinematography I've seen on this site. Amazing use of color and depth of field. I'm impressed at how well you were able to depict vastly different ages in history (and also at how cleverly vague each slice was). I think the thing I like most about this piece is the sci-fi mood. I seriously think you consider doing a longer sci-fi piece.
Thanks, Bradley. I'm glad you liked it. This one, once the idea was in place, was all about location, casting, and props. Those three things tell the whole story. I knew exactly where I wanted to shoot -- and the locations are a big part of the effectiveness of the cinematography. The props (especially the aged pencil box) were a challenge. I tried everything from sand blasting to muriatic acid to an acetylene torch... I'm still not sure I'm satisfied with the aging of the box. But that's filmmaking. Do you have any films posted? -Brett
Elegant, cohesive, unexpected, subtle ... you have made a beautiful movie... Thanks...
