Very impressive. I really loved it. -Cameron "Lucidity"
that's some crazy stop animation! this film was great! good job Nathan!
Really charming piece of animation work!
That's beautiful. Amazing work, I'm floored.
Jay (Illusion of War)
Lovely, love the sound when the bird flaps, and such a cool concept must have taken hours, also great camera angles - Justin: The Gaunt Silence
how did you do that!!lovely, Winged Migration , again:)
Fantastic! You have my vote! Good luck. . .
That was wonderful.
There's something truly magical about a bird sitting on a metro car.
Well done! that bird makes me laugh. very creative. Maybe try cropping the edges though they were a bit distracting. Why 16mm?
that animation and cinematography was amazing! some of the best work i've seen here on filmaka! also loved the story. great job! you really opened a new level of medium in film into my understanding as this medium you worked in really worked for the concept and intention of the film! check out mine: "Lost" by John Mackin
wonderful animation and atmosphere. it reminds me of a certain 80s children's show, I can't quite remember the name. Check out a retelling of the Red Riding Hood tale by Vangelis Mylonas
There seem to be a few of us Montrealers on here! I loved your film, although looking at the winter and picturing you doing stop-motion in the freezing cold is making me cringe...Stop motion is what made me get into film in the first place and this is a really beautiful piece. Nicely done. BTW, my actor IS a young MacGyver. I found Richard Dean Andersen before he knew how to fiddle his way out of any situation with a toothpick and some string. --David (Lost in the Forest)
Thanks for the comments. Ya, shot 2 days in minus 30 degrees...had to take a break every half hour to warm up..thats HARDCORE!! Good fun and great assistant animator with me. Shot on 16mm cause the look is richer than digital and because a bolex is the only thing that could survice in those weather conditions! haha.
Wow... I was really impressed with the animation. Just beautiful. The story's also very fun and creative. Overall a magnificent job! Congrats! Take a look at my short afterwards, "13 1/2".
Realy good animation, Original edea good sound track....very very good....on a list for sure.Mine: (Miguel Story during a Soccer Game)
Nathan, you truley are the king of Pixelation. I'm always excited to see what you'll come up with next.
Never quiet seen a film like this, I thought it was very well done and extremely interesting to watch. Cool work! Dave - "In The Dark".
Imaginative and refreshing. Almost possible to picture oneself in the bird's perspective. A rare and enchanting short film that touches the human soul and un-hibernates our bodies. - Jonathan ("The Barbershop Cigars")
Made me smile. Feels like "bird-cam". Gorgeous stop-motion work too.
That's so good, the little bird is sooooo lovely. I really liked the short, well done guys, great stuff!Trev'Pushkin'
Thanks, that means a lot coming from a man who made a short such as yours (I mean how technically perfect) cheers!
