Inspiration: "The Cake" is a short film that came out of my film "Home", the longer version, that was screened at The Sundance Film Festival. Yes, I had the honor to be attend the famous festival and even schmooze with some small time celebrities and eat a lot of free food. It was interesting. "The Cake" is just about a kid that is not spoiled by his parents with many gifts, so when he sees an attracting cake in the fridge, that his stepfather purchased for Christmas, poor kid can't stand the temptation and eats the cake. And got the beating. That was me, ladies and gentlemen. I ate the cake and got the beating. That was a long time ago, but I still remember it. How interesting the mind works: there were much more happy but uneventful days, that flew by into oblivion, but we remember a cake and a beating. Gosh, I wonder why is that. Hey, thank you very much for reading this and please enjoy the cake with the kid, but not the beating.
