Man, I used to hate chasing down those tennis balls... why'd they have to make them so bouncy? There's a lot to like here, good shots, background music, and a story most of us can identify with.
Doesn't anyone use a Tripod or with today's cameras a Monopod? These were A Grade shots, except hand held was such a let down.
i agree! brings back good/bad memories from the past haha! well done!
Funny idea!
as alan said - only if there was a tripod that was used, teh shots would have been soooo much better.. not to saythat they arentlooking nice now.. just better. Over all .. pretty good.. like teh music!!
The other part of the story was chasing down a tennis ball for the shoot. Finally found a sports store along the way... :)
Actually, we almost always use a tripod for our shoots. This is probably the second piece we've done this year that wasn't on a tripod (the first was on a modified bicycle dolly, but the camera didn't work and we had to switch to a handheld miniDV) and if you look at our previous submissions, they're not handheld. I agree though, a tripod would have helped, but alas this is the price we pay for an "across town shoot everything in one hour" shoot. We were in some locations for a couple of minutes. Oh, and we forgot the tripod.
Yeah. Stewart (our music man) is great. He and his band provide us with all kinds of styles. He's releasing an album soon which will be almost folk-punk.
Glad I can be of service. For the good memories. I put the blame on the bad ones Lorne Green.
Thanks for the comment!
reminded me of childhood days as well...Well i liked the lighthouse shots, looked really beautiful
Thanks for the comment. I was pretty happy with the lighthouse shot as well. Though my personal favourites are the shopping cart and Stacey with the baseball bat and cig.
Funk me Ryan that was sh1t! Could you not afford a tripod? No wonder you lost! Leyoooooooooooooooooooooooozaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!
I'm sorry I'm going to have to disagree with Xavier on this one. I really quite liked it. Although it would have looked better on a tripod. Keep up the good work Ryan, you'll be giving up that day job in no time.
