Great acting! Beautiful story... I really liked it! Has a nice mood to it. I'd love to see more. Too bad about the 3 min time limit. Definately short-listed!
that was honestly amazing! fantastic acting! good storyline and easily kept my attention throughout!
That was fantastic! Something with substance, finally.
I've always been a sucker for films w/ some sense of improv or spontaneity. Good job.
Gee I wish my wife was that happy when I proposed to her 11 years ago! I should have just given her a camera and editing software!
I think Nick Mathis should be elected VP of Filmaka!
Awesome movie!! very good actors! well presented!
Hahahahaha.
awesome work! what a great little film!
There is some good work in this. Although the inprovisation freedom does show. Even when allowing actors to improvise, it's important for a Director to retain control of the story and performance. Great ideas can become inconsistancies. There are tones of "The Dreamers" in this, although not so sexual. My only quesiton, was she engaged to this gent or to someone else? Sometimes you have to spoon feed your audience. Don't let them guess.
Thanks for putting the time into your comment! It's very considerate of you. It got me thinking, too: now that I've moved on from the project, I've been allowed to realize that the 3 minute limit was a blessing. Nothing was cut from the written film aside from her own joke-proposal and some dwelling on their amusement with one another. I'm much happier with this than with what it could have been at five minutes. I got everything I needed. So, thanks Filmaka! [insert high five with filmaka's 3 minute limit]
Evelyn Bell? That's an awesome name. ;)
I'm going to have to disagree with Alan Smithee on this one. I don't think you should spoon feed your audience. Treat them with respect. Audiences are savvy, they'll get it. Don't insult their intelligence. I think your actors did a great job and personally I love to see improvised dialogue. Good work.
I think the improvistaion has doen wonders for your film. It has made it look so much more genuine. And the spoon feedind debate is eternal. Its a personal creative decision. Stick by your gutt.
Hmmm, maybe Mr. Wallis copied THIS film... = )
