Inspiration: The idea grew out of critically acclaimed one-woman show I directed, SLANTED, about a Chinese Muslim born into beach bunny society in Ft. Lauderdale in the mid-80s. The show deals with outrageously funny ethnic stereotypes, warped ideas of beauty and suffocating familial bonds.
Other Info: The film was co-written/produced by Andrea Lwin, the writer/actress of the one-woman show.
