The Information We Collect
We may collect personally identifiable information from you (such as name and email address) when you register to participate in interactive features on the Site (such as to post comments or vote ; post reviews or questions; create a profile page; or send messages to members). We may also collect videos or photographs if you post them on the Site, or other information you provide for your personal profile (such as location and gender). We will only collect personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide to us (such as when you register, post content or email us). We may also collect demographic information.
All purchases on the Site, are made directly through Authorize.net. They will collect financial information (such as account or credit card numbers). They will use your financial information to bill you for products and services or otherwise process your transactions. By making a purchase on the Site, you consent to Authorize.net providing your financial information to such third parties as they determine necessary to process your transactions (such as credit card companies and banks). We may collect other non-personally identifiable information (such as gender) when you register to participate in interactive features on the Site. We may automatically collect non-personally identifiable information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser version. The pages of the service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent pages and other statistics.
The Site is not intended for use by children. We will not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from visitors to the Site who are under the age of 18.
2. How We Use The Information
We will use your personally identifiable information to create your Site account, to create your profile page, to customize your experience on the Site, to respond to your requests, and to provide you with information you may request. If you do not wish to receive commercial email messages from us, you can opt-out of receiving such emails through your Filmaka.com profile page available on the Site. Commercial e-mail messages will also provide you with an opportunity to opt-out of receiving this information. Please note, even if you opt-out of receiving promotional and marketing messages from us, we may continue to send you service-related email messages.
The user name/or email address and password you create during registration is used to log on to the Site. Your user name/or email address will appear publicly with all postings on the Site and personal messages.
3. Sharing Your Information With Third Parties
We may use third parties to help us operate our business or the Site and administer activities or competitions on our behalf, and may share your personally identifiable information with these contractors for those limited purposes. Any data and information that you volunteer or that is otherwise collected on the Site in any one country may be sent electronically to a server for one of these sites in another country. Such servers or other types of data processing facilities may be located within or outside the European Economic Area or third countries that are regarded by the EU Commission as featuring an adequate level of data protection. However, we safeguard your privacy interests around the world by ensuring that the Site adheres to our data protection principles described in this statement. 4. Social Log-In
In order to simplify our registration and login process, we provide you with the option to register or login and link your account on the Site with a third-party social networking service, such as Facebook, Google and Linked In (each a "Social Networking Service"). These services will authenticate your identity, will allow you to log into the Services using the single social login buttons, and will share certain personal information that you allow us to collect, as discussed below.
If you choose to register or login to the Services through a Social Networking Service, we will access your data on the Social Networking Service to create an account. In addition, we may use this data for several purposes, including but limited to populating your account, personalizing the Filmaka Services and aggregate reporting.
We will not share any information about you collected on the Services with a linked Social Networking Service without your approval. This means that we will not post anything to your Facebook wall or Google account unless you give us specific permission to do so, and we will not contact your friends or followers at any time. We do not store or utilize the names of your friends or followers even if they are passed to us by a social sign-on service in the initial registration process.
User personal information is only accessible by a limited number of employees who have special access rights to such systems. Any personal information you supply us is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer technology ("SSL") and then stored in our databases to be accessed only as stated above. Protecting your privacy is important to us. We use industry standard technology to protect the security of your information. Unfortunately, no transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we are committed to protecting your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.
7. Community Functions
The Site may make content, comments, votes, reviews and questions, personal profile pages, and other community functions available to its registered users and/or members. Remember that any information that you disclose in these areas becomes public information and may be viewed by others. Please exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal, financial or other information. You should use such community functions at your own risk.
8. Email Messaging
The Site may make email messaging available on the Site to its registered users and/or members. 9. Refer a Friend
The Site offers you the opportunity to easily notify a friend about the Site. If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about Site, we will ask you for your friend's personally identifiable information, including name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the Site. We store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program. Your friend may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request that we remove this information from our database. Our one-time email to your friend will inform him or her of this fact.
10. How to Access or Correct Information
You may edit your information at any time. You may also remove your account from the Site if you no longer wish to be registered on the Site.
