DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE A WEB SERIES?

OPPORTUNITY FOR FILM SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY

February 4th to February 25th, 2019

Filmaka.com wants to know if you have what it takes to make a web series. Send in your pitches for a 3-5 minute web series Pilot, and a description of the web series story arc. If your Pitch is chosen, Filmaka will give you $5000 for production to shoot your Pilot. Once you submit the Pilot, Filmaka will evaluate it for a possible web series order.

HOW IT WORKS:

Film School Students have three weeks to submit written Pitches only for the 3-5 minute pilot of an original web series they want to create. After the Pitch competition closes, up to four (4) winners will each be awarded $5000 in production funds to shoot their Short which is their Pilot for an original web series. The finalists will have eight weeks to submit their Pilot. When we receive the Pilot, we will evaluate it for the possibility of producing it as a web series down the road.

THE PITCH:

The Pitch and/or the Scripts should be as detailed as possible so that Filmaka executives have a clear vision of the web series the Member wants to create. Character lists, an overall summary of the web series, storyboards and scene sketches may be included as part of the Member's submission. While there is no limit to the number of pages for the Pitch or Scripts, it is important to remember that the produced version of the Pitch or Script will only be three (3) to five (5) minutes in length.

SCHEDULE:

STAGE ONE:

February 4th to February 25th, 2019 (three weeks including three weekends): Submit your written Pitch for the 3 - 5 minute Pilot of the web series that you want to direct. It can be in any genre and on any topic. Please keep the budget in mind when pitching your project.

—Filmaka Members (Film Students only) have eight weeks to submit their Short (and the optional nine written Scripts).
