News: The 5th ReelHeART International Film Festival (RHIFF), Toronto has awarded Best Film in the ReelTube category jointly to three Filmaka shorts by Pat Kelman: FRANCIS, THE LETTER GAME and ELEPHANT BOY. Pat Kelman was raised in Cornwall. In 1995 he left the County to work as an actor in London, where his credits include THE GAMBLER directed by Mel Smith, THE ODYSSEY directed by Andrei Konchalovsky, LIGHTHOUSE directed by Simon Hunter and ONE HELL OF A CHRISTMAS directed by Shaky Gonzalez. He is a regular artist with the Cornish Theatre Collective. He can currently be seen in a regular supporting role in the BBC sitcom MY HERO, and in Danny Spring's short film HELP. Pat has an extensive background as a theatre director, and has directed the short films THE TAXI, WONDER WORKING MAGICIAN and BAD KORMA. His first feature film as director, ENCOUNTERS, won Best Film awards at Festivals in the UK, Canada and the US. He has worked extensively with Filmaka Finalist Alec Christie, culminating in the successful horror short CUT THROAT ALLEY in 2006. In 2007 he wrote and directed PIANISSIMO as part of the UKFC Digital Shorts Scheme in association with South West Screen and Cornwall Film. Pat is a member of the New Producers' Alliance and the Directors' Guild of Great Britain.
