DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION

Documentary Competition #2
February 28th, 2019 to April 25th, 2019


  • Submit your original Documentary Short and you may win a cash prize along with the opportunity to enter Filmaka's Final Documentary Competition.
  • Three winners will be selected and awarded prizes.

Details about the competition:

  • Submit an original 3-5 min Documentary Short ON THE TOPIC OF YOUR CHOICE.
  • The competition begins February 28th, 2019 and ends on April 25th, 2019.

Your entries are chosen as follows:

  • Members, Registered Users, and Filmaka executives have the right to vote.
  • The top three winners will be determined by those Documentary Shorts that receive the most votes.
The documentary winners receive cash prizes listed below. In addition, the winners are given the ultimate opportunity to enter Filmaka's Final Documentary Competition.

First place prize: $500
Second place prize: $350
Third place prize: $150

All films will go live together as per the Calendar dates, but the films uploaded early will get the top slot in the grid.


This competition is open for users from all countries.

THE ENTRY PERIOD BEGINS AT 12:00:01 AM PACIFIC STANDARD DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ("PST") ON Wednesday, February 28th, 2019 and Ends At 11:50:50PM PST On Thursday, April 25th, 2019. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. The competition is only open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and are members of Filmaka. Employees (and their immediate families and household members) of Filmaka, any entities responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the competition or supplying the prizes, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliated and successor companies, are not eligible to enter the competition or win a prize.
