Christopher was born in Tampa, Florida in 1977. At the age of 4, he moved to California to live with his father, producer/director Fred Olen Ray.
As a second generation filmmaker, and the only child of a single working father, Chris spent much of his youth immersed in the magic of cinema. Acting in many walk-on roles, as well as playing the roles of many monsters in his fatherís films, Chrisí love for the movie industry was well begun. Surrounded by greats such as David Carradine, James Coburn and Martin Landau, Chris absorbed much of his film knowledge at an early age.
With directoral influences like Roger Corman and Sam Rami on the sets, Chris began his film career as a production assistant in 1995 on the film Cyber Zone, and with several productions under his belt, rapidly rose to the role of Line Producer for the film Tower of Seduction, for Playboy .
In 1996, Chris joined the U.S. Navy as a Photographer/Videographer and spent 7 years serving his country in Japan, Puerto Rico as well as the continental United States.
During this span, Chris was introduced to semi-professional football, playing for the Yokuska SEAHAWKS, Fajardo Giants and West Coast Sharks. He also became involved in professional wrestling, holding the Hard Core championship title in Puerto Rico for two years, and is currently training with World Wrestling Federation superstar Ric Draisin.
Despite his busy schedule, Chris remains a devoted husband and father. He met and married his wife, Robyn, in 2001 and welcomed their daughter Adderleigh Jane Ray into the world in 2003.
