Brittany Rostron is an emerging writer and freelancer in television, film and theatre. Raised on Long Island and educated at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Brittany is eager to develop her own voice and bring exciting and fresh work to New York City's creative scene. As a writer, she has had her plays including "Shoot the Dog" and "The Mayfly & the Bird Girl" produced in festivals and readings in theaters around Manhattan and Queens. Her short film, "The Collection", was selected as a finalist in Filmaka's SAB Miller Brewing Company “Life Is What You Pour In” competition. She has also been published in a short story anthology, “Grab That Tiger” and has written commercial spots for Manhattan Place Realty.
Determined not to be a one-trick pony, Brittany has been involved in the entertainment industry in several additional capacities including producer, script editor, stage manager, assistant director, fundraiser and more. In addition, she has had the privilege of working alongside retired football star, Joe Montana, on a national healthcare campaign during her tenure at the public relations firm, Chamberlain Communications. However, after three years at that post, she decided to strike out on her own to pursue full-time her ambitions of becoming a writer and producer in television, film and theatre.
Most recently, she began work as locations coordinator on MEN IN BLACK III. She also freelances as a script consultant/story analyst. For more info on Brittany, visit her website at www.brittanyrostron.com.
