Filmmaking has been quite a never-ending learning process. I started what I consider to be my film school with this site Filmaka. I entered the Ford Mustang contest in Sept. 2008. That was my first attempt at narrative filmmaking.
From Sept. 2008 to Sept. 2009 I shot 13 short films and placed in the top ten for The Doorpost film contest. That final film I did taught me everything I knew about filmmaking and EVERYTHING I didn't know! It was quite the learning experience.
Since then I've continued with my commercial projects, shooting close to 22 commercials in the past couple years. I did one more short film called The Boy Who Stole'd Christmas, which also placed in the finals for The Doorpost 2010.
My main focus this past year has been on learning the art of screenplay writing. Now after a year of studying I've written my first film and will begin production on it in May 2011!
I love what I do and can't wait to see what else is out there. I'm so thankful for sites like Filmaka that offer these great connections and opportunities for us filmmakers!
If you have time please watch my quick peek demo reel that I posted on my profile.
Thank you very much.
