Biography

Dean J. Augustin is an award-winning Texas based writer and director. His writing credits include, "Champions of Industry," a regular feature on CNN's Headline News and The Discovery Channel. After winning the American Cinema Foundation Screenwriting Contest, Dean started "The Good Fight - Digital Motion Pictures" to create and promote his unique method of filmmaking. In 2002 Dean's first film "The Secret Journal of Benny Travis," was awarded a Platinum Remi Award at Houston's World Fest Film Festival. In 2004, Dean's documentary, "The Enemy," received the Golden Lion Award for Best Documentary at the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival. Dean's fifth film "Hey Dillon," a documentary about a radio DJ won a Platinum Reel Award in 2009. As an actor Dean has appeared in his orginal production titled "Anthem" and plays a detective in FOX's 2010 productions, "The Good Guys" and "Midland."
