Biography

When I was five my parents took me to Radio City to see Kubrick's 2001. I didn't understand what it meant to be a filmmaker at the time but somehow I knew from that point forward what I wanted to do with my life. As a child I made my first films with dad's old super 8mm camera... surprisingly receiving little critical notice. My teens and 20's were about playing guitar in rock and roll bands, writing songs and recording in the studio. During this time I began to understand the creative and production process and the goal of being a filmmaker became more tangible. Early in my career I worked for the original Travel Channel and traveled the world doing documentary work. It was on these journeys that I met my longtime producer, future spouse and business partner Merideth Melville. Merideth and I now own Zenfilm, a groovy little production company and HD post boutique located in a converted 1800's paint factory in downtown Houston. We produce national spots, music video, viral and social media as well as original music and comedy programing that is syndicated via web, iTunes and many other outllets arount the world. With our sister company SugarHill Recording Studios we produce Live From SugarHill, which features new music from all genres recorded live in America's most historic recording studio. We also produce Get Out! Of The Closet! A farcical anti-reality show with a twisted sense of humor.
