John graduated from NYU's prestigious film school in 1998. Since then, he's produced and managed dozens of broadcast commercials for most of the major pharmaceutical companies such as Aventis, Pfizer and Fujisawa; promos for Showtime; commercials and videos for the Arthritis Institute featuring Jack Lalane and internal training videos for Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
He started his own production company in 2001 and became heavily involved in the independent film community in New York, winning a number of awards and competitions for short films he directed, produced, shot or edited and featured numerous times in the Asian American International Film Festival in New York.
Most recently, he was the Promo Producer for Music Choice, the #1 VOD network in the country, responsible for writing, producing, shooting, directing and editing hundred of promos and interstitials for the network.
John just finished a 3D music video for "I Fight Dragons," a band who was recently signed with Atlantic Records and named The Best Emerging Chicago Artist of 2009 by The Deli Chicago as well as another music video with Tommye Miller, formerly of the 80's platinum hip/hop group, Max-a-million.
John freelances as a commercial editor, DP and producer with a number of short film credits in the IMDB and camera operator credit for the feature film, "Moscow Chill."
Currently, John is working on a broadcast commercial campaign for a mid-size Chicago residential leasing company for which he will be writing, shooting, directing and editing all four spots and he hopes to continue in his new home town of Chicago with more television, feature films and music videos.
