Writer/director/editor, Vincent Blackhawk Aamodt has been directing national commercials for over 12 years and has won many commercial directing awards for his work including the prestigious Cannes Award. Prior to that he was a Creative Director for numerous advertising agencies including, Rubin Postaer and Associates, TBWA/Chiat/Day, Cliff Freeman and Partners to name just a few. During that time he was able to work and learn from notable directors David Lynch, John Frankenheimer, The Coen Brothers and Joe Johnston. Early in his advertising career he was selected to represent the USA in a creative competition held at the Cannes Ad Festival in the South of France. He and his creative partner competed against creative teams from all over the world. He is a graduate from Art Center College of Design, BFA in Advertising and film. More recently, in 2005 he was selected out of over 800 directors to participate in the DGA/ABC TV Directing Fellowship program, where he worked on prime time television shows including Grey's Anatomy and The George Lopez Show. In 2006 he produced and directed an award-winning feature documentary entitled "The Ghost Riders", about a native american spiritual horse ride. The film was narrated by Benjamin Bratt. It won Best Documentary at the SF American Indian Film Festival, Best Documentary at the Imaginative Film Festival and received Best Film from the Canadian National Film Board. The film has screened all over the world. He has most recently created a number of successful web series for clients Nestle/Purina, LitePanels, Care Medical Bracelet and others, ranging from family comedy to zombie horror. He currently runs a commercial and web content production company based in los angeles. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America.
