Thomas Augsberger co-founded Filmaka in late 2006 with Deepak Nayar. Augsberger is the President and of Eden Rock Media, a film & television production & financing and media consulting business, based in Los Angeles.
As producer/executive producer, Thomas Augsberger has been responsible for more than ten feature films during the past 8 years from inception to release, most recently “Strange Bedfellows” (directed by Dean Murphy and starring Paul Hogan), “Incident at Loch Ness,” (directed by Zak Penn and starring Werner Herzog), “Waiting” (directed by Rob McKittrick and starring Ryan Reynolds), and, with Jim Wilson and Kevin Costner , “Mr. Brooks.” (directed by Bruce Evans and starring Kevin Costner, Demi Moore, and Dane Cook).
Augsberger represents Herbert Kloiber's Munich based Tele München Group in the U.S. and consults other international media companies in all aspects of their U.S. media business.
A graduate of Munich's Ludwig-Maximilian-University, Augsberger practiced law in Munich, Leipzig, and Dresden before moving to the United States in 1996. He served on the board of directors of Lions Gate Entertainment from 2002 to 2003.
In 2009, Augsberger served as Executive Producer for the independent comedies Tucker & Dale vs Evil and Swinging With the Finkels.
