Biography SARA PRATTER-HALLOWELL is an award winning film/theater writer-director. Her first short PHARAOH'S HEART starring Paul Guilfoyle and Arabella Field was not only a recipient of a Panavision 35mm film grant, it also won several Best Short Film/Audience Awards. Pratter-Hallowell has written and directed promotional DVDs, music videos for IKTV-Tao Music and was consulting director on spots for Best Buy, MTV and Sheryl Crow. She went to festivals with the short RETTAS REVENGE starring Retta (Parks and Rec, Girlfriends Guide to Divorce). Sara also won awards for her next two shorts -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLIE and SALESGIRL -- via Filmaka, judged by legendary filmmakers such as Paul Schrader, Werner Herzog, Wim Wenders and Neil Labute. She won the Canon Award for another short SALESGIRL at Dances With Films Festival (LA). Theatrically, Pratter-Hallowell directed: DOG (Workhouse, NYC) starring Scott William Winters, Moliere's LES RIDICULOUS PRECIEUSES (Kaufman Theater, NYC), THE CHEKHOV PROJECT - ODE TO THE GROUP THEATER (Globe Playhouse, LA) starring Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars, Just Shoot Me, Person of Interest). A staged reading of Pratter-Hallowell's original play BLOOD MOON directed by Arye Gross was performed at Naked Angels (LA) and the Blank Theater Company (LA). Sara has written and directed for acclaimed photographer-director Matthew Rolston. She is a member of SAG, AEA and Film Independent.
