Biography

Azhur was born in Manchester and after university he worked at a post-production house in the North West, then moved to London to work in the production offices of Flynn Productions, a music video company in east london. He then joined the MA course at the London Film School where he concentrated on directing, writing and producing, working on a number of short films in those capacities. Whilst studying, he entered the Kodak Student Commercials Awards in 2005, winning two awards for his Pilsner Urquell spot 'The Travelling Magician'. This led to the chance to write and direct the film school's 50th Anniversary Trailer, which is now screened at all film school events and screenings across the UK as well as events in Europe and the US. The spot was also nominated at the Cannes Golden Lions in 2007. His latest work was a short film promoting Ford Mustang, commissioned by Ford, JWT Team Detroit and Filmaka.com and screened on NBC before the new Knight Rider series in front of 10 million prime-time viewers.
