Biography

I have written five books, two of which 'The Cosmic Clues' and 'The Astral Alibi' are detective fiction published by Random House, US. 'The Cosmic Clues' was selected as a 'Killer Book' by the American Mystery Booksellers Association. 'The Astral Alibi' was honored by the Kiriyama Prize 2007 as a Notable Fiction Book. I've also written a non-fiction book. titled 'Roles : Reel and Real', on the role of women in Hindi films, based on my Ph.D. I've been in television and filmmaking for the last 20 years. Have directed more than 200 informative, educational and enrichment television programmes for telecast, for children and adults. Have been the Story, Script and Dialogue Writer for a full-length (2 Hours. 10 minutes) Hindi feature film, (35mm Cinemascope) titled ‘KUCHH DIL NE KAHA’, produced by the National Film Development Corporation of India (1999). Would love to direct a feature film soon!
