Biography
Born in Puerto Rico, Adam earned a B.F.A. in Film Production from Florida State University and a Professional Certificate in Screenwriting from UCLA. He has written and directed a dozen shorts, written seven feature screenplays, attended seven esteemed workshops, and is a member of the Writers Guild of America. He won the coveted Directing Initiative Fellowship from CBS, the McNamara Family Grant from the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the Hollywood Charities Grant from the Caucus Foundation, the Diversity Scholarship from the Multicultural Motion Picture Association, and the Imagen Award from the Imagen Foundation. A finalist in Esquire Magazine’s Film Competition for his adaptation, “Father Figure”, he also directed the feature, “The 7”, the short, “The Stain On The Sidewalk”, and the promo, “We Are All Latino”. His upcoming projects include “They Sway Toward The Sun”, an urban drama, and “El Massacre De Ponce”, another period film. He graduated from AFI with an M.F.A. in Directing.
