Biography

I grew up in a small potato farming town. My father was a writer, my mother and musician and I learnt to love both music and stories at a young age. After convincing myself not to study art, I did a university degree in History and Linguistics and tacked Arabic on the end. I arrived in Damascus halfway through my degree to see if this language study was going to be sustainable and stayed nine months. After uni I did a bit of work here and there before realising that if I didn't write and follow creative pursuits I would suffer a disenchantment with the world for the rest of my life. So I started doing what I love most. I see now that film is the ultimate medium to unite story and music, and for that I love it. I am currently working on a feature length screenplay, and have another two in genesis.
