They knew twenty years ago with “Yesterday’s Hero” that I could spin a yarn with the best of them. That’s never been the issue. What you see posted here are basically editing exercises. Real drama takes actors and a crew. I don’t write treatments, I write full shooting scripts, with the chair in mind. I don’t do kiddy porn, I write sophisticated dramas with adult audiences in mind.
There’s an argument that movie goers average between 17 and 25. That’s probably true, since that’s all you write for. However, I’m of the firm belief that there is a much wider audience that has been ignored for years now. This audience of older, more sophisticated viewers doesn’t particularly respond to the mindless kickass sexbots blasted across today’s cinema screens. These are the people I write for. The kind of people who appreciate films like “Last Chance Harvey” and “Changeling”.
I’ll make you a deal, I won’t waste your time and you don’t waste mine. I’m not interested in contest and festivals. If you’re looking for a filmmaker who can write, shoot, edit and score sophisticated drama, I’m easy to find.
