Ian Allen Lim graduated in filmmaking in IAFT. In which he made the short “One’s Tear” that became a finalist in the International College Peace Film Festival of Korea. He then continued to make several shorts having his thesis film, “Manomission” recognized and awarded with a “Technical Excellence Award” and a “Best Director Award” at IAFT. The short later on became an official selection of the Panorama of Independent Film and Video Makers Festival in Greece. As a Director of Photography he worked in a short titled “Whisper in the Dark” that was an official selection at a film festival in Greece. His short documentary “Language Barrier” struck discussions in Youtube questioning the official language of his home country in the Philippines. He also worked as a Production Manager and Producer for Fashion TV Asia and later on became a Creative Director for the Makisig tv channel in Manila, Philippines. He has now a number of films under his belt, a combination of Short films, commercials, music videos and documentaries. Recently, "PLACER MORTAL" a short thriller won the 1st prize in MORBIFEST (A Puerto Rico film festival) where he worked as the DOP, editor and sound designer. He's been selected to be a part of the Shoot's 8th annual New Directors Showcase in New York 2010. He is currently living in Puerto Rico and aims to continue his career as a filmmaker and develop his craft.
