I live in Boston, MA since the year 2002. While all my life I have been interested in movies, it was through my wife (a film graduate) that I first started to really understand and appreciate film as something other than just entertainment. I'll always remember when I finally understood why Citizen Kane was regarded as such a great film (when I first saw it I thought it was the longest and most boring movie I had seen thus far, I must admit); I learned to produce educated opinions regarding lighting, shot composition, symbolism, pace, editing decisions, etc...I am glad to say I did not become a film snob...movies like Napoleon Dynamite are right there with The Matrix (the first one), Robert Rodriguez and Kung Pow: Fist of Fury, all of them next to 2001: A Space Odyssey and all of Stanley Kubrik's work in my top 10.
I wrote a screenplay for a short film (30 minutes) a few years back; and always thought about making movies but never got to it until recently, when a friend started making shorts and he asked for me to get involved.
Just recently was asked to act in a short film, adding "actor" to my film resumé. I never thought that would happen...
I have now shot my years old screenplay and am in the middle of editing it, all while I've been asked again to act in one of my friend's films....here we go............For more visit http://chunto.com
